Islamabad streets empty as Pakistani forces shut down protests, arrest Imran Khan supporters

Islamabad residents woke up on Wednesday morning to empty streets littered with smashed up vehicles, after Pakistan’s security forces arrested hundreds of supporters of the jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan — and effectively put an end citywide protests — according to local media.
