Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly said Tuesday that she’s had numerous conversations with key U.S. leaders and that it’s in the “fundamental interests” of both countries to have a safe border, following U.S. president-elect Donald Trump’s comments on tariffs. She added that Canada will work with the incoming administration on the issue.
