Immigration Minister Marc Miller said in Ottawa before a cabinet meeting on Tuesday that Canada and the U.S. have “shared interests” in managing and controlling the flow of unauthorized individuals across borders. Miller added that there were a “number of measures” that the federal government was considering regardless of the incoming U.S. administration, but that there will be further discussion between the two countries once they are able to sit down with one another.
