Speaking to reporters during the 2024 APEC Summit in Lima, Peru on Friday, Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly revealed that, amid devastating wildfires in Chile, Canada has agreed to send firefighters over to aid in emergency situations. Chile will return the favour, as it did in Alberta over the summer.
