Speaking at the COP29 United Nations (UN) climate summit in Baku, Azerbaijan on Tuesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Israel should be held to account at international courts for the “environmental catastrophe” it is creating in Gaza. Erdogan said Israel’s attacks on Gaza have caused chemicals to leach into the soil and groundwater.
