New outbreaks of avian influenza are being reported in B.C.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says active outbreaks of Avian flu have been detected at six commercial poultry farms in the Fraser Valley since October 21. This includes three farms in Abbotsford and three in Chilliwack.
