Liberals and Conservatives took turns criticizing each other over the state of Canada’s economy during question period on Monday. One example referenced was a report that Food Banks Canada released earlier that day, which stated that the organization recorded more than two million visits in March 2024 — nearly double the monthly visits five years ago in March 2019, and six per cent above last year’s record-breaking figure.
