Quebec’s new medical assistance in dying law will come into effect in less than two weeks. Starting Oct. 30, Quebecers with certain incurable diseases like Alzheimer’s will be able to submit an advanced request for a medically assisted death. Some doctors, however, don’t feel ready for the change. Plus, legal experts across the province spent the weekend giving out free legal advice. Dozens of volunteer lawyers in Quebec took part in a legal clinic, in hopes they can provide a service to those who really need it.
