On the one-year anniversary of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack in Israel, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre used question period to demand the Liberal government condemn the “antisemitic mobs” and their “genocidal chants” against Jewish communities in Canada. Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly and Justice Minister Arif Virani responded by saying that the federal government has promised to stand with the Jewish people and is against “any form of discrimination.”
