Just over 24,000 Canadians have registered as being in Lebanon. As of Wednesday, Global Affairs Canada says its helped 344 Canadians — permanent residents and eligible family members — get out of the country. Despite the danger, thousands are choosing to stay — at least for now. The federal government has booked seats on commercial flights out of Lebanon, but as Heather Yourex-West reports, for some Lebanese-Canadians and their families, leaving is not as simple as it may sound.
