In the U.S., multiple southeastern states are reeling from the death and destruction inflicted by Hurricane Helene. So far more than 100 people are dead in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, the Carolinas and Virginia. And that number could grow as families and first responders search for those who are still unaccounted for. It’s estimated the damage could reach US$100 billion.
