Economists warn that the looming American port shutdowns would cripple important trade ports from Texas up to Maine, as well as have “severe” negative impacts on the Canadian economy and North American supply chains. This comes as port of Montreal workers served a notice for a three-day strike to begin Monday, amid an ongoing strike of grain workers in Vancouver. Anne Gaviola has the story.
