Hurricane Helene made landfall in northwestern Florida as a Category 4 storm, roaring ashore near the mouth of the Aucilla River near the Big Bend area of Florida’s Gulf Coast. There were multiple deaths and millions left without power in Florida resulting from the storm , according to authorities.
