Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Sunday to take “whatever action is necessary” to diminish the threat from Hezbollah, while the deputy leader of the Iranian-backed Lebanese militia said the conflict with Israel is entering “a new stage.” Evidence of the increased cross border attacks appears to be already happening, and the Israel Defense Force’s (IDF) chief of staff says Israel’s strikes will intensify, in what could be a sign that Israel is shifting focus from Hamas in Gaza toward Hezbollah in Lebanon.
