In this year’s Paralympics in Paris, more than 150 countries are being represented, demonstrating the global participation and support for disabled athletes. Notably, Russia and Belarus have been banned from the games due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, prompting them to send athletes to compete as neutrals. Despite the conflict, Ukraine has sent a team of 74 Paralympians to France, including at least one soldier who was injured during Russia’s invasion. Global’s Mike Armstrong reports.
