U.S. President Joe Biden used his speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Monday to endorse Vice-President Kamala Harris and bid farewell, weeks after dropping his bid for reelection. “America, I gave my best to you,” he said, quoting the song ‘American Anthem’ before adding: “I made a lot of mistakes in my career, but I gave my best to you for 50 years.”
