Ontario Premier Doug Ford remarked on Tuesday during the opening of a brand new 60,000-square-foot, four-storey animal hospital in King City, Ont. that “by the looks of it we know where we can send the overflow patients for MRIs and CAT scans.” Ford’s comment, which his spokesperson said was a joke, was met with backlash from opposition parties who say wait times for patients in Ontario is no laughing matter.
