Canada’s proposed renters bill of rights should void ‘no pet’ clauses: petition

As discussions continue on the federal government’s proposed renters bill of rights, a petition is calling for it to include a provision to void “no pet” clauses in tenancy agreements nationwide. Currently, only Ontario allows for a tenant to move in a pet once the tenancy begins. Global’s Sean Previl explains what advocates are calling for with the petition and why.
