Speaking to reporters in Maryland on Thursday, U.S. President Joe Biden said he is “concerned” about establishing a ceasefire in Gaza, following the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. “It has not helped,” he said. Biden’s remarks follow a “very direct” meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who recently vowed to retaliate against Hamas if they retaliate against Israel.
