As wildfires ravage parts of California, firefighters are facing challenging conditions in their efforts to contain the blazes. The Nixon Fire in Riverside County has already consumed over 2,700 acres and evacuation orders are in place for affected areas. Meanwhile, the Park Fire in the state’s Central Valley has become the fifth-largest wildfire in Californian history, surpassing 360,000 acres.
