Body found in Jackson Creek in downtown Peterborough

An investigation continues after a man’s body was found in Jackson Creek in Peterborough on Saturday afternoon.

Police say just after 1 p.m. a body was found in the creek area of the pathway off Charlotte Street near King Street.

The area was closed for several hours.

Police report the coroner’s office is now investigating the death of a 57-year-old Peterborough resident.

It’s the third sudden death investigation this month after the bodies of two men were found along city trails last weekend.
