‘Layers of accountability turn into layers of plausible deniability’: Secret Service head grilled by Congress

While being questioned on Monday about who signed off on the security plan for the Trump rally in Butler, Pa., following the attempted assassination on the former president, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle told Republican Congressman Michael Cloud that it’s a “conjunction of personnel,” for which Cloud replied, “Whether it’s the FBI or Fauci… these multiple layers of accountability turn into layers of plausible deniability.”
