The topic of diversity within the Kingston Police ranks has once again been brought to the forefront. Last week, councillor Jimmy Hassan brought a motion to the police services board to try and spur changes at Pingston Police on the heels of a 2022 study. As Paul Soucy tells us – the plan is on the right track – but the problem may be in the number of qualified applicants.
