On Thursday, Canada’s Treasury Board President Anita Anand announced legislative changes to expand early pension eligibility to frontline workers. This includes firefighters, paramedics, correctional service employees, parliamentary protection officers, search and rescue technicians and border services officers. This update comes on the heels of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) averting a strike as their union, Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), reached a tentative contract agreement with the federal government.
