In the Gaza Strip, more than a million displaced Palestinians are said to back sheltering in Khan Younis, according to the United Nations (UN). The international agency says they were forced to head to the next largest centre north of Rafah after an Israeli military evacuation last month, with many staying in destroyed buildings or makeshift tents with no services. One of these individuals is Sara Khaled, a 24-year-old dental graduate who once dreamed of opening her own clinic, but is now staying in a room with seven relatives and focused on basic survival. Crystal Goomansingh has the details.
