Report finds government organizations disregarded rules when awarding McKinsey contracts

Auditor General Karen Hogan released a new report on Tuesday, stating that the “organization awarding the contracts showed a frequent disregard for federal contracting and procurement policies and guidance” to McKinsey & Company. The report revealed that the contracts totaling $209 million that were awarded to McKinsey between 2011 and 2023 by 20 federal organizations “often did not demonstrate value for money.”
