A band of musicians, with the help of a local church community, has put together a benefit concert to raise money for Ukrainian musicians and children interested in the arts. Event organizers hope access to music will aid the new Canadians in settling into Nova Scotia living. And, more funding for the new Ronald McDonald House in Halifax was announced Sunday, as federal housing minister Sean Fraser announced $2.95 million through the Green and Inclusive Community Building Program. Plus, it’s been a heartbreaking week for one family in Kingsclear First Nation in New Brunswick. 27-year-old Lucas Solomon-Polchies was killed last March. Now, his family says his grave has been burned, complicating the already difficult process of grief.
