Nearly a year after her tragic death, a parkette near Gerard St. East and Logan Ave. was renamed in honour of Karolina Huebner-Makurat. Family and friends gathered on a sunny Saturday for the unveiling of a new sign while remembering the Toronto mother with strong connections to the community. Matthew Bingley reports.
