The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) is confident that countries will one day adopt a pandemic “treaty,” an ambitious project that has been shelved after two-and-a-half years of failure to produce a draft that all countries can support. Speaking at the WHO’s annual meeting in Geneva, Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says he is confident this week’s World Health Assembly can still plot the way forward.
