Canada’s tourism industry braces for increasing wildfire threats

As the specter of last year’s unprecedented wildfire season looms, Canada faces an early start to wildfires in several regions. Currently, a significant portion of the country, particularly the northwest, is under high to extreme fire danger conditions. The Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre (CIFFC) reports a total of 99 active wildfires nationwide.
