Speaking during Wednesday’s question period, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh asked what Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is doing to “stop greedy CEOs from ripping off Canadians” amid his call to investigate a deal between Canada’s largest grocery store chain, Loblaw, and a company owned by the country’s telecom giants, Rogers and Bell. Trudeau replied that telecom rates have been decreasing over the years and that the latest federal budget will “invest in younger Canadians.”
