Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland announced in Lunenburg County, N.S., on Tuesday that the federal government is investing an additional $19.8 million to reach the goal of 9,500 $10-a-day child-care spaces in the province. Freeland added that the investment comes from the $625-million Early Learning and Childcare Infrastructure Fund, and that the national targets were “an important milestone” rather than “an end point.”
