B.C. government warning of increased fire risk in northeastern region this weekend

In a May 9, 2024 news conference, Minister of Emergency Management Bowinn Ma said with many parts of the province experiencing warmer than seasonal weather coupled with drought conditions, there is already an increased risk for wildfires, especially in the northeastern region of B.C.
