Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland said Tuesday that the federal government remains “committed” to its proposed changes to the capital gains tax, which would see the inclusion rate increased from 50 per cent to two-thirds for those with more than $250,000 realized capital gains in a year. Freeland said she “looks forward” to introducing legislation despite not including the proposal in the motion to introduce the budget bill.
