Members of Halifax’s Bangladesh community celebrated Bengali New Year during an event on Saturday filled with traditional cuisine and cultural performances. Halifax Mayor Mike Savage delivered a proclamation at the event – officially recognizing April 14 to May 14 as Bangla Heritage Month in the municipality. Vanessa Wright brings us the details.
