NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh spoke in Montreal on Thursday after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced earlier a deal with Honda to bring electric vehicle (EV) battery and assembly plants to Ontario. “We’re going to need specific minerals — some of those minerals are available in Canada and the way that we extract those has to be also done in a manner where we are not contributing to the problem — we can do that,” Singh said.
