The first handful of jurors have been sworn in and seated for former U.S. President Trump’s criminal trial in Manhattan. The case is not in session today, though the judge says opening statements could begin as soon as Monday. Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts related to accusations that he financially schemed to hide an alleged affair with an adult film star ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
