El Niño may be over — what weather could Canadians see in the coming months?

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology announced on Tuesday that it appeared El Niño was over after the weather system brought warmer and drier temperatures to several parts of the world. At least one atmospheric physicist says this lull could mean more localized weather such as thunderstorms. And as Sean Previl reports, the lingering effects of El Niño and the potential approach of a cooler La Niña could lead to more wildfires and a possibly severe hurricane season.
