In the Middle East, Israel is weighing its response after an unprecedented attack by Iran. Hundreds of drones and missiles exploded over Israel last night, the first direct attack by Iran after years of a shadow war. Israel’s iron dome intercepted most of the weapons. There was little damage, but a young girl was seriously injured by shrapnel. This attack was not unexpected, it comes in response to Israel’s bombing of Iran’s consulate in Syria two weeks ago. Now the focus is on what Israel will do next. Jeff Semple reports.
