Man accused of running over Toronto police officer apologizes in court

Umar Zameer testified the man and woman he encountered in the parkade at Toronto City Hall never identified themselves as police and said he thought he was being robbed the night Constable Jeffrey Northrup was killed. During cross-examination, the Crown suggested Zameer knew he hit a man as he was driving out of the parkade, not a speed bump but Zameer denied it. Catherine McDonald reports.
