Fine increases possible for negligent landlords in Toronto: city

A Toronto bylaw enforcement program that was meant to hold negligent landlords accountable to property standards has failed tenants, according to several Toronto residents and city councilors. On Friday, the city’s Housing and Planning Committee approved a motion with proposed improvements to the RentSafeTO program. Global’s Noor Ra’fat Ibrahim has the details.
