The provincial government will spend nearly $225 million to train more doctors in rural Alberta, and with the hope they stay in rural Alberta. This will be done through two new rural medical education program training centres. Dr. Brenda Hemmelgarn, the dean of the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, joined us on Global News Morning Edmonton to talk more about what this means.
