Residents and pet owners at odds over off-leash dogs in municipal park

A battle is brewing in Westmount between dog owners and residents around Summit Woods. At certain times of the year, dogs are allowed off-leash in the woods. But some residents say that contravenes provincial law and want it banned. Dog owners, however, say it’s a vital sanctuary and space for animals that needs to be preserved. Global’s Amanda Jelowicki reports.
