Seniors across the province, including right here in the Okanagan banded together on Thursday to protest against pensions they say are nearly impossible to survive on; the province is contributing $2.5 million to not only enhance the appeal of Vernon’s Polson Park, but to make it more flood resistant; a group of Okanagan high school students are being put to the test at the Lake Country Fire Department this week through its annual junior firefighter bootcamp.
