Cities across the United States got an early start on St. Patrick’s Day celebrations on Sunday, a day before the holiday that honours the patron saint of Ireland. Both Tampa River and the Chicago River were died a vibrant shade of green to mark the holiday. Meanwhile, New York City held its renowned St. Patrick’s Day parade in Manhattan, with around 15,000 marchers and an impressive two million spectators joining the festivities.
