US Department of Justice opens criminal investigation over Alaska Airlines mid-flight door blowout

The U.S. Department of Justice has began a criminal investigation into a January incident in which a Boeing airplane’s door plug blew off mid-flight. Investigators have reportedly contacted passengers, pilots and flight attendants who were on the Alaska Airlines flight.
