Halifax councillors approve $98M police budget

Halifax Regional Municipality councillors have approved a $98 million police budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The current budget reflects a six per cent increase from 2023. As Megan King reports, mandatory changes to salaries and benefits will be introduced – in addition to 22 new positions.
