The U.K.’s Rubymar cargo ship has become the first vessel to sink in the southern Red Sea amid an ongoing conflict with Yemeni Houthi, who have been attacking vessels in the crucial shipping waterway for months as part of their campaign against Israel’s war on Hamas. The Rubymar reportedly sank on March 1, 12 days after coming under attack by Houthi rebels.
