Quebec Court of Appeal rules that secularism law known as Bill 21 is constitutional

The Quebec Court of Appeal has upheld Bill 21 and struck down a lower court ruling that exempted English schoolboards from implementing it. The ruling means teachers in English elementary and secondary schools cannot wear religious symbols while at work. As Global’s Gloria Henriquez reports, the Quebec government is celebrating a big win for its secularism law while minority groups and civil rights advocates are vowing to appeal.
