Canada’s economy narrowly escapes a technical recession

Canada’s GDP rose at an annualized pace of 1 per cent in the fourth quarter after posting a decline of 0.5 per cent in Q3, according to Statistics Canada. The boost was from a resilient U.S. economy, bolstering demand for exports.
